in yesterday's LA Times there was an article loosely about the keys to happiness. One of the keys that stuck had to do with emphasizing more the stuff you enjoy and the stuff that makes you feek good. As long as that stuff is productive, you can't go wrong. Since it does seem like you enjoy your job and you are making some cash, keep it up. But remember to keep it fun and don't burn yourself out.

pain makes you do dumb things. like be with people you don't want to be with when you really want to be with someone else, or take pills and wake up feeling like death, or give up on a great friendship. it makes you seek numbness, but when that wears off, you're left with the heartache again. if i ever find a cure you'll be the next to know. i'll bottle it up and sell it and use the proceeds to come visit you :D
